Each day it has been said starts out as the same. We wake up and from there we will see how the actual day itself unfolds.
This much is such. Even though our days start out the same we all know that there is no guarantee that each day is going to be just a repeat of the day before.
Life in and of itself has one thing that we can count on if nothing else. You never know what is around the corner.
I can recall when I was growing up. I can’t begin to count the number of times when I would say to myself man when I get grown it’s going to be so much better! I’m reminded of something I heard my parents say when I was growing up; “be careful what you wish for! As a result, I have come to find out that being an adult isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
This road of life that each of us follow is going be filled with hills and valleys. Both of which are going to impact us in ways that we test the essence of who we are.
During the hills of life when everything is seemingly going well, we may find ourselves thinking this is what life is all about. Those times when we are at the top of the hill. We are looking over the great things that may be happening and feeling blessed. Such are those times. I’m sure that each of us wish for more and more of them.
But as well there will be those times in the valley. Valleys that we find us looking around and wondering what is going on and how did we get to that point. Valleys that will without a doubt cause us to dig deep into those intangibles that we count on to sustain through the valleys in life.
Day after day there will be both the hills and valleys. Day after day we will find ourselves coming face to face with the changes and challenges that life will provide us.
How do we deal with both? How does the essence of who we are shine through? For each of us our answers lie within. For each of us the answers that we bring forth will be reflected by actions that speak to who we are and as well what we are really made of.
